Poker is a card game in which players place bets into a pot (representing money) in order to win the hand. Players can also bluff to influence other players\u2019 decisions by pretending that they have a strong hand when in reality they do not. Generally, a winning hand contains two distinct pairs of cards and the highest pair wins.<\/p>\n
There are many different games of poker, but they all share certain common elements. The game can be played by 2 to 14 players, but in general the ideal number of players is 6 or 7.
