Poker is one of the most popular card games in the world. It is played in casinos, private homes, and over the Internet. The game is a combination of strategy and luck, and it requires skill and concentration to master. The game is played by individuals against one another or by two teams of players. Each player is dealt two cards. After the first betting round the dealer deals three additional cards face up on the table that anyone can use. This is called the flop. Each betting interval, or round, begins when a player, in turn, makes a bet of chips, representing money, into the pot. The player to his left must either call (match the bet amount) or raise it.
